Timbavati Wildlife Park offers fun in-park activities that will keep you entertained for the entire day. We are proud to be home to the Old Fort Dells “Engine Number 9” train, which is the centerpiece of our Safari Train Ride.
Timbavati Wildlife Park is a unique option for planning a variety of special events. We can accommodate personal events like birthday parties, family reunions, VIP Tours or high volumes of people for large-scale events. We regularly host field trips for schools, daycares and senior centers.
Weather permitting, our general park admission and our Safari Train ride are available until the end of October.

We are a popular destination for vacationing families. Timbavati Wildlife Park offers fun in-park activities that will keep your party entertained for the entire day. We are home to the Old Fort Dells Engine Number 9 train, which is the centerpiece of our Safari Train Ride.

As the seasons change and the cycle of life advances so do our animals and their locations within the park.
When you walk through the front gate at Timbavati Wildlife Park and pass the ticket booth you land right in the middle of the Waterfalls Area. This area is home to a lot of fowl. From our lesser flamingos to our beautiful black swans, we know feathers.
Any way you walk out of the Waterfalls Area you can see our Safari Snack Shack. Good food and cold drinks await! After you’ve stopped for a snack you can hang a left and visit with our spider monkeys or you can take right and visit with our lions and other big cats in our Feline Center.
You’ll see our mini amphitheater where we have several Wildlife Presentations daily.
Goat Mountain is just down from the hill from our theater. Home to our pygmy goats.
You may hear the nursery buildings. The nurseries are teeming with all manners of new additions. Baby kangaroos to small reptiles, the nurseries have a lot of really cool little critters to see. Fennec foxes, owl monkeys and cotton top tamarins are just examples of those that hang out in the nursery area.
Our renowned Parakeet Encounter, Kangaroo Walkabout and popular red pandas are just a hop away from the nurseries.
You may choose to take a seat and ride through parts of Timbavati. The historic Old #9 is the centerpiece of our Safari Train Ride. The ride takes you through exclusive pastures where you can see ostrich, aoudad, antelope and many other animals
The train traverses the Grasslands Area of the park bringing you within eyesight of Naasaha the rhinoceros, the second largest land mammal on the planet.
The Safari Train Ride makes a stop at our feeding deck where you can get off the train to visit with the tallest mammal in the world…the giraffe. Purchase some carrots at this stop to feed the giraffes and camels. You can’t get much more up-close than this!
While on the train you’ll get a glimpse into the Woodlands Area. Home to our white emu, kudu, crowned crane, spur-thigh tortoise, wallaby and many more… Purchase a Park Admission experience everything the park has to offer!
